Show Of Peace Has Nothing To Show For It
As you might have noticed, I’m in the process of updating the design of Beijing Noise. While checking previous posts for errors I happened across an article I wrote in regards to the Show of Peace being delayed until October 10th. I was curious about the progress of the festival, so I did a bit of a google search for updates. The most recent piece of original news? That would be the press release in March about the festival being postponed.
A little check on the status of each artist supposedly confirmed to be playing Show of Peace doesn’t turn up much. Jimmy Page basically doesn’t tour anymore, and Joe Perry/Aerosmith have not shows booked in October. However a lack of evidence against the confirmed bands playing doesn’t really make up for the fact that no other act besides Page or Perry has in anyway confirmed an appearance at the festival. So what is going on?
