Just in case you haven’t filled your quota of music festivals this year, InMusic are back to hold their annual festival out in Zhangbei, Hebei. Last year’s festival was something of a travesty, so it remains to be seen if the can lure punters back. The tickets are reas0nably priced, with 3 day passes available for 300RMB, although most people will probably end up having to pay for accomodation on top of that. It does seem to be the year of the music festival in China though, so their is a chance of a decent sized attendance.
The same can’t be said of the artists though. There’s a distinct lack of Maybe Mars and Modern Sky bands on the lineup (apart from Demerit), more notable due to the fact that they seem to be appearing at every other festival around. The bill isn’t quite at the same level as last year, though it should be interesting to see the one-two of Chinese punk legend He Yong (pictured), and British post-punk stalwarts Killing Joke.
